Churches carry the message “children should not be in detention”
Nor should adults who are seeking a better life and fleeing oppression and war.
Manus is a shameful mess and the cost of cruelty has been billions.
The policy is folly and the expense absurd.
Australians ought all be ashamed. We are better than this.
DEC 2017...A MULTI-SPORT BACKGROUND HELPS!
On the weekend our Australian captain reportedly said “children should play as many sports for as long as they can”
All credible information supports this view of our champion player.
Then why do all the major sporting codes do everything in their power to recruit and encourage ‘one sport’ athletes.
It cannot be because they have the interests of children at heart.
Their approach is counterproductive…
Knowing something is wrong and still doing it is the very definition of folly.
FEB 2018...WHY IS THE STATE SUBSIDISING THE AFL?
Over fifty thousand tickets sold at two dollars.
Tickets included travel cost! Surely the real cost of travel is more than two dollars
The game proceeds donated to a charity it was reported.
Clearly the taxpayers are subsidising the AFL. When does this end?
At 3% interest the annual bill for the stadium to just pay interest (not princpal) would be $45 million annually.
